Audition Details
Here are this years audition details:

1st Marple Scouts H.Q.
Wednesday 6th November
20:00 - 21:00

You don't need to prepare anything for auditions, just arrive with your biggest smile and lots of enthusiasm. We will sing through some songs in groups and learn some simple movement. You won't be required to do anything on your own.
Who's Eligible
We aim to be as inclusive as possible at Marple Gang Show so to audition there is only one simple criteria: you must be an active member of Scouting or Girlguiding in Marple in school year 6 or older.
Time Commitment
Being part of the Gang Show cast does require a large time commitment, but we promise it will be worth it!

Our rehearsals are held in the afternoon/evening of every Wednesday and Sunday from January to March. We take a short break from rehearsals for February half term. We expect all of our cast to be at every rehearsal where possible, but understand there are occasionally unavoidable clashes.

All cast must be available for both dress rehearsals (Sunday 9th March and Sunday 16th March) and all 11 performances (Thursday 20th March 2025 to Saturday 29th March 2025, excluding Sunday 23rd March 2025).
Costs For Cast
We aim to be as inclusive as possible at Marple Gang Show, so we try to keep costs to an absolute minimum.

All cast are required to pay a small fee when selected to help cover the costs of their cast t-shirt and badge. These will be yours to keep after the show.

There are other items that cast members are required to have for the show, such as: a red necker, black & white pumps, and an up to date uniform. These items will need to be purchased unless you already own them.

We also have optional extras available for purchase such as a Gang Show hoodie, show DVD and more. These items are completely optional and you can take part without purchasing them.
Parent/Carer Involvement
It takes a lot of adult support to put on a show. So, to help make sure we have enough help, we ask that a parent/carer of each cast member volunteers at least once during our show run.

There are lots of different volunteer roles with differing time commitments so we're sure you will find something that suits you.
What Happens Next?
After auditions, our production team get to work selecting our cast. As we often have a large number of people auditioning, this can take a while.

We aim to let everyone know if they have been successful or not via email in late November 2024.

Before we send out confirmations we will get in touch with your leaders to check you are an active member of Scouting or Girlguiding.
